ABC offers a variety of classes and seminars to increase a worker's skills
Classes being offered:
Electrical Code Update (Masters/Journeymen) - This class meets the requirements for electrical continuing education to renew your electrical license.
Basic Blueprint Reading - This seminar is a one day basic class to introduce basic blueprint reading terms, components and symbols. Also, discussed is the different types of drawings (Ex. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/Piping). You will also learn how to interpret & use drawing dimensions.
Spanish- This Spanish course is designed for English speakers with little or no prior knowledge of the Spanish Language. We will focus on basic conversational skills, as well as, construction industry specific expressions in a fun interactive environment.
Prevailing Wage Workshop - This course will explain how to reduce labor costs on Davis-Bacon Projects, how to effectively bid to win more jobs, compliance pitfalls and how to survive a DOL audit and proper allocation of mandatory wages and fringe benefits.
Planning and Scheduling Workshop - What is a plan and the stages of a plan, implementing the plan, a thorough walk through of the planning process to identify the work to be done, determining tasks and to communicate responsibilities and more.
