Safety Classes and Seminars being offered:CPR/1st Aid - This class will provide OSHA required certification for First Aid and CPR. Topics include victim assessment, basic life support, first aid skills, and CPR procedures. Participants will receive certification wallet cards.
Bloodborne Pathogens - In this two hour program, an instructor will review the bloodborne pathogens regulation, how it applies to construction, disease transmission, and specific precautions.
CPR Recertification - This class meets annual update requirments for CRP certification.
Excavation Competent Person - Includes overview of OSHA requirements, excavation hazards, soil mechanics, job planning and inspectors, sloping, benching, shoring systems and selction of protection methods.
Fall Protection - Includes overview of protection requirments, when the standard applies, choosing and maintaining personal fall arrest sytems, and alternate protection systems.
Competent Scaffold User - This course is compliant with OSHA's scaffold standard and provides attendees with information on training requirments, basic scaffold components, scaffold access, and recognizing and eliminating hazards. The hazards addressed are: falling object hazards, electrical hazards, material handling hazards, overloading hazards and fall protection hazards. Also including is a comprehensive scaffold inspection checklist.
Confined Space Entry - This course is copmpliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146. It is intended for all personnel who may work in or around confined spaces. This two hour class includes the following: defining a confined space. Defining permit vs. non-permit required confined spaces, indentification and control of hazards, required steps prior to entry, duties and responsibilities of entrant, attendant and supervision, and confines space rescue requirments.
