EDUCATION
The Kentuckiana Construction Education Foundation ( KCEF ), the educational affiliate of Kentuckiana ABC, offers a wide range of training and information programs as well as manpower recruitment opportunities to meet the need of member companies. We provide apprenticeship training for the following crafts: Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Flooring Installation, Boiler Makers and Pipefitting. Upon completion of these programs as apprentice will obtain journeyman status as certified by the Kentucky Department of Labor. ABC provides additional training for management education, safety and regulatory classes, journeymen upgrades and continuing education classes (Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing). Our accredidation is through the National Center for Construction Education Research (NCCER).

The KCEF also works with many schools in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to recruit and train new craft workers through the school-to-work program.

with your help and support we will monitor each participant’s growth on an individual basis.  This program will take 2 years, much like the regular apprenticeship program, meeting one night a week and taking summers off.

Just a few of the topics covered will be safety, communication skills, human relations & problem solving,  document control, estimating, planning & scheduling, resource control & cost awareness and much more.   For a complete list or other information, please call Stephanie Coleman at 502-400-2035 or email aferguson@kyanaabc.com
